During our simulation yesterday, you were placed into one of three groups. Those with great wealth, those with some wealth, and those with little wealth. Most of you were able to compete to see what group you would be in. Some of you started with advantages or disadvantages that made it easier or harder to acquire (get) wealth.
Reflect on (think about) this simulation, and use the other information that you have gathered through class and life to think about the following questions, and respond to them in the comments below.
1. Think about the people, groups, or countries who "have" the things they need and want, and the ones who "have not" the things they need and want? Who are the "haves" and the “have nots” in the world today? Which countries are the “haves” and the “have nots”? Who are the “haves” and “have nots” in our country today? In our state or community? Why do you think this is?
2. Do those with wealth have a responsibility to those who do not? For what reasons? Economic? Moral? Religious? Political?
3. Why might the “haves” give money or resources to the “have nots”? Is this a way to solve the problems of poverty?
4. Do you think there should be a redistribution of wealth and power in this country? Why or why not? If yes, how would you propose to accomplish this? What principles would guide your proposals for change?

The Have Countries in the world today are Canada, China and Russia.
The Have not counties are United States, Afganistan, iraq and Haiti.I think this because United States are a have not right now because they owe a lot of money. The "haves" are richer people and the "not have" are the poorer people. I think in countries like Africa and Afghanistan would be "not haves" and "have" countries would be Canada, European Union and France.
Some richer people could donate money to "not haves". This could be for religous reasons or just moral reasons.

I think that it would be a good idea to redistribution but also i think that its unfair. I think that its a good idea because then there wouldnt be anyone starving or dieing. the redistribuation is good for the poor and negative for the wealthy. The rich work hard for their money. Giving it away should not be a fored action. The rich should want to help the poor people out of the kindess of their hearts. It should be more of a donation than a tax.

The haves in our community are the oil cities and towns or the cities that have docs for transporting good across the ocean to different countries. 3.Because if everyone was the same than the world would fall, because our world is built around power and money, if everyone had the same amount of money who would want to work at tim hortens or work at lower class stores to meet our neeed, everyone would want to work in wealthy stores, so the world fall apart.
